Hot fall fishing

Nov 17, 2016 | Fishing

Hello sportfishing land……….

The fall cold fronts have begun to march through in full force creating excellent conditions for both trolling and live baiting off of the Treasure Coast this weekend. The trend for sailfishing  appears to be on the deeper side for the sailfish over the last week of fishing. With the fish hanging in depths of 300 to 500 feet. Look for the green to blue change in these depths to target sailfish. Mahi have been found on the edges inshore where you find grass or debris edges from 90′ to 500′. Blackfin tuna have begun to show with some good reports from the boats fishing east of Fort Pierce. The forecast for Saturday is looking great Sunday a bit challenging so plan accordingly.

The bottom fishing has been excellent if you can find clean conditions on the bottom with great reports coming in of Grouper and Snapper. You will have to battle the coastal sharks but stay on the move and you should come up with excellent results.

Good luck to all the the boats fishing the Palm Beach Sailfish Classic!  It’s a fun tournament benefiting a great cause. I’m sure they will post some impressive numbers.

I hope everyone has an  unbelievable weekend
